It all started when a little boy at five years old became obsessed with trucking through his father. As he grew older, he was driving his father's dump truck and paying attention to how things worked.

By the age of 13, the same little boy was able to tell you anything about the industry thanks to the knowledge gained through his father. Instead of toys and comics, industry trade magazines were the entirety of his collection.

On February 14, 1994, that little boy, Kevin Newsome, founded Newsome Trucking with one truck. Since that time, the company has grown to over a 30 truck operation.

The company's successes are not only limited to hundreds of satisfied customers, they have also won the Vulcan Materials Trucking Company of the Year four times.
